I just got my pentax 67 200mm f4, which I intend to use a filter on. Problem is, the lens has a built in hood with the filter thread on the tip of the barrel, and the front glass surface sits way back behind.
Am I right to think that the bigger the air gap between filter and glass, the more likely flares can occur?
If so, I should prob get the older gen with the slide out hood.
