>>3631340>Everything looked better 30 years ago. Were you even alive back then?
>Also, there's no point in "documenting" contemporary society because every normalshit with a phone is already doing that.Ya, because taking photos of old cars and retro gas stations is really fuckin' unique.
>Looking at your street snapshits 30 years from now won't be like looking at some street snapshits from the 70s and the 80sObviously not. I still find even photos from even 10 years ago that I shot to be pretty interesting though. I'm shooting for myself, not for internet loosers to enjoy.
Pic related: 2012. Note how few people have phones to their faces. Despite everyone having a way to capture images now...doesn't change the fact that they'll be interesting to look at down the road. Also, due to the absolute massive amount of images being taken these days...so many get taken and instantly forgotten. Honestly one of the reasons I enjoy and still shoot film. I shoot maybe 2k photos in a year. Keeps things manageable for myself to look back on.
>if you think so you're out of touchAnd I'd say if you think photos taken in 2020 that are trying to look like they were taken in 1975 are going to be more interesting in 30 years than photos taken in 2020 not trying to be from another era...you're out of touch.
