>>3331039That's the pancake I was talking about. Shot this one with it and polariser at 14mm, it definitely can take good shots. I rarely need to go to that width but it was handy in this situation. It's kit zoom, and it can be quite bad at low light, isn't very sharp, has some diffraction, weak bokeh... But since you're learning, you won't notice problems, and its nice to have all around lens with you. Really I'd go for it, you get it for few hundred in camera pack, and you're not loosing much getting 50-150mm along it as well. That way you'll have 14-150mm covered, and you'll get to know what's suitable to you when you do buy primes.
If you're not willing to invest later, go for that Panasonic 25mm. It's got better image quality without doubt.
