I'm switching from a 50mm 1.7 to a 35mm 2.8 lens to use in my environmental portrait work + my daily photography. I want to travel light so I won't be carrying around the 50mm when I'm out shooting unless I have a specific premeditated need for it.
Am I going to really notice/regret that f-stop difference? Is the focal length gonna fuck me over? My experience with 50mm is that I was always too close to what I was trying to shoot 90% of the time.
I'm using film so I can't just bump up the ISO in low light.
