>>3725164>>3725170 Hey anon, thanks for the feedback, i really appreciate that!
I totally agree with what you said about the photos. It was a really interesting day cause i shot for the first time both with a wide lens and an overcast sky with such a bright and diffused light. Previously i only shot with a 50mm 1.4 (cause i only had that) and by night cause i really liked nighttime photography.
So i'll share some thoughts about the pics.
About them being vertical i'd say that the main reason is that i suck at taking horizontal photos and can't really manage to get anything interesting; probably i've still to get used to the new lens and such a wide frame to work with.
I like the one with the boats because it's kind of weird with the tones being so mute;, i get somewhat a nostalgic feeling by looking at it but it's probably cause the summer is ending and i shot those on the first cold day of september.
>>3724430>>3724431Those were details of a cool structure that i found while roaming around the dock area. I guess they lose a bit of sense cause i didn't manage to get a nice panoramic shot of the building (i'll attach one to the post). In hindsight i should have lost more time trying to find the right angle to get it, but i really got distracted by all the windows, plants and stuff that were there.
I'll crop the one with the logo on the window for sure. It gets better when the compass is out and is framed closer, plus the chair right under the window that before was barely noticeable gets more interesting.
On the other one i went for the window as the main focus and tried to use the wall on the bottom of the frame as a guide for the eye to get to the plants and then the windows plus the reflection. Now that you mentioned the table being distracting i'm noticing that it draws too much attention.
