Who the hell thinks EVFs are laggy?
EVFs are also really high res - idk what sort of EVFs some of you have been looking though. Maybe you haven't been using the dioptre dial right.
Anyway, what fun is there is having to keep looking at the LCD to see what aperture and shutter speed your camera is picking, when an EVF can give you all the information like a kind of HUD. Plus, you can adjust settings like white balance, colour, art settings and even adjust highlights and shadows right then and there, saving you some time in post.
Of course, if you lack an EVF on your MILC, then I'm so sorry. At least if you're on Olympus or Leica, you might want the optional extra EVFs... Anyway. Who doesn't like having space efficient camera with fewer points of potential mechanical failure?
