>>3558839>To be honest when taking these photos, I wasn't really focusing on what was in the foreground, or following any rule of thirds or anything like that, I was just kind of taking them when I thought I had come across a cool scene while hiking, and thought that I'd crop later if needed.well, you answered your own question, that explains why they're boring
>I did enjoy the tall grass as well, and that was part of why I wanted to take the shot with the grass in the front taking up 50% of that picture.Be honest, if you were shooting the grass as the subject, then your composition would have been different. Either that or your instinct for framing and composition are worse than i thought.
>I think "boring" can be kind of subjective with that in particularIf you saw the photos you took at the national park gift store, how much money would you pay for a print to hang up on your wall?
Chances are there were much better photographs at the gift shop, and you didn't even buy a single print. Now what makes you think someone else would want to look at your snapshots? Think this through and be honest with yourself.
All together, they're nice snaps to document for yourself that "yes, I was here, and yes I enjoyed this trip." Which is what they are, vacation snaps. But in your OP you said you came here "looking for photography advice". See pic related
