I got a macro lens and started doing some standard boring macro shots.
I decided to use the Focus Stacking of my G81 and got this as best result. The ladybug pupa is still not completely in focus and I have the feeling most areas are not as sharp as they could be. The spot on the pupa that is out of focus sat right between two focus areas, so despite selecting all focus areas touching the pupa, I got a not completely sharp image.
Is this just bad luck? Or is it a shit job on the part of Lumix' focus stacking? The Camera saves the Focusstacks as a set of individual frames in an MP4 file. Can I just take that file and use a different external program to focus stack? Which programs would be best for that?
