>>4387152It's not the crop sensor that gives it so much reach, it's that besides being MFT it has 25MP. Its pixels are 3µm wide. You'd need 96MP on a full frame to match that reach.
>>4387153If you had the faintest idea of what drives those decisions you wouldn't spout that bullshit. You don't see sports photographers downsampling 50MP pictures, they shoot 20MP cameras and are happy with that.
CPS, NPS and SPS are one big reason why Canikony dominates.
>>4387149MFT can't reach equivalence to FF in many cases. Their top of the range superteles are things like 150-600mm F5.0-6.3 (300-1200 f/10-13 equivalent), 150-400mm F4.5 TC1.25x (300-800mm f/9 equivalent, 375-1000mm f/11.25 equivalent with TC on) and those aren't cheap. The latter is $7500. Cheaper than full frame sure, but not equivalent in performance. You can get a 600mm f/4 from Nikon for $8700. Coupled to a D850 it will obliterate the best MFT in reach. And MFT lenses are not readily available for rental, unlike what you get with the professional services from the big players. Sure, the MFT camera could defeat the Nikon in terms of reach adapting the Nikon lens. But that's not a rig you want for a pro shoot where reliability is a must. The whole is more than the sum of its parts.
