>>4111758Other people have given you good advice but also contrast is a big thing. You can increase it in post if you only scan but those famous pics were heavily fucked with in the dark room, with dodging burning and contrast manipulation. If you ever get the chance to work in a dark room I found it helped a lot with black and white.
