Hello boys,
I bought a Zenit last week in a flea market because it looked so nice, but I had no clue about film photography. So I ordered 2 b&w films to test and now I love shooting film. I want to go 100% film now. Today I bought an Pentax Espio 738s (probably shit but it works) as a point and shoot camera.
Now that I have a point and shoot camera, I would like to have a robust, ergonomic SLR with good lenses and clear viewfinder AND a working lightmeter (weinCell or any easy-to-find battery). (The Zenit is cool to use but the viewfinder is so dark that I can't focus at f/8+, and I bought it without the battery cap).
So I searched a bit here and here, and here's the cameras that would be nice:
- Pentax Spotmatic SP (II, 1000 or 500 as I don't mind the lack of the timer). People says it's fun to use and have a bright viewfinder, and WeinCell make these 1.35 batteries.
- Canon A1, looks so cool and have a lot of lenses.
- Pentax MX; looks the same as the spotmatic but with K mount
But there is just TOO MANY film cameras (this is what I love with film cameras, but well, hard to find the gem).
So, what's your SLR, anons? What are they drawbacks / avantages ?
