What happens is, at first you lose saturation and contrast in the sky, the deep blues start turning grey, and then you lose all detail after some point.

>Provia has more dynamic range than digital sensors. to be an absolutely ridiculous claim. Even more so when it refers ro recovering shadows. Digital managed better DR than slide film 15 years ago, anything more recent and it's not even a contest.
You'll have a hard time recovering shadows from Provia (or any slide), even when it's *correctly* exposed. Anything other than a drum or Noritsu and the like will struggle. Let alone underexposed 3 stops.
