When I shoot a subject that is in direct sunlight I will often get these super bright star like reflections on my picture. Often times this is very noticable on hairy intects or those that have dark shiny cuticles, and I find I loose a lot of detail. Or in this case, you can see where the dead grass is touching the surface of the water, those are the shiny stars which I am refering too.
Is this something a lens hood can help avoid? Or should I play around with the white balance and underexpose in bright sunlight?
