>>4320168I shit you not there are people in both the photog and video production industries that will go out and buy those 245Hz RGB XD eXtreme 1156p gayming monitors and then self certify themselves as the top colorimetry king in their area. The problem with these screens isn't just that they're shit at color accuracy. It's that they are either straight up fucking magenta or orange and have extremely bright backlights that laser focus in on primaries at the expense of everything else. They're so bad you have these cunts writing to parliament to try and have light mode made illegal and shriek back into their chairs in pain as soon as a solid white background appears. All of these pics look reasonably good on my calibrated screen, and perfectly realistic, albeit a bit dreary on the $60 office drone screen I have next to it. You literally can't overdo the saturation on the pleb screens 98% of people are using, they straight up don't have the pigment density or backlight power to reproduce it. Those gaming monitors on the other hand will straight up burn your retinas out with 1000nits of clipped gamut.
