If you're a sports photographer who's been tasked with "getting the shot", you're just using a tool. The difference between that and just having a camera automatically follow the events at the stadium by means of AI or whatever is mainly one of cost and quality. It's all about ensuring the shot is there.
Or take a paparazzi. The guys just take pics hoping they interest TMZ or whatever, or if not freelance they go to whoever they've been assigned to. It's about getting a sharp enough shot, nothing more nothing less. And hopefully not getting assaulted in the process.
