>>4223205God I wish, just without the stupid looking sunscreen shit. No need even to go that far up as far as I'm concerned, I don't care about selfieshit, I just want 90° waist level for comfy shooting looking from above. When I take a look at my old a6300 laying around, the system is really simple, just two branches on each side and you're good to go. Though the issue is obviously how these two pic related (x2, as on each side) screw holes won't be there, and the complete no-go is the additional tilting made possible on the upper part of the screen on these two branches, nothing will allow it on an a7c screen. With the right tool, making screw holes on the body plastic is easy enough, making those on the screen is asking for disaster, though doable. The ribbon cable tying up the screen to the camera will also be a problem, but should be solvable, when cable is involved, it's always solvable. In fact, the part I need is even available as-is, I bet I could find it cheaper on ChinkExpress, no need to cannibalize an existing camera

The more I look at it, the more I'm considering it for when we find used current gen a7c for dirt cheap. Might as well buy one with a broken screen and completely rework the system myself with a new screen part while I'm at it, even cheaper.
