Even out of a blind, you can stay hidden in plain view by staying in shadows and not moving. I've had hawks and owls land right in front of me as I crouched under trees, only to lose their shit once I start shooting. When hunting, raptors are focused on the ground, looking for small prey... you can easily be overlooked.
They are very good at what they do, but are still just animals, Anon.
