Yes, that is a padded mailer, brown paper, bits of cardboard cut from a gift box and small bits of Christmas wrapping paper. The seller actually thought it was a good idea to pack up a camera lens like this. It's a pancake lens, so it fit into the envelope, but that doesn't mean it's a good idea.
And when you're selling a lens with a plastic mount, you had better make damn sure to disclose any cracks in the mount. It's not an unreasonable standard to hold people to. That is a fact that would have affected any reasonable buyer's decision to buy the lens. You can't misrepresent items you have for sale, that would be fraud.
And do you honestly think it's acceptable to wait 10 days after the date of sale to drop off an item at the post office? 10 days, bro -- ten. That doesn't even count the actual transit time. Those are the days the seller waited before driving the 2 miles from his apartment to the post office.
