I feel like I am trapped in a vicious cycle when it comes to Leica.
To me visually it's the perfect camera. The aesthetics of it are perfect to me. Simple and yet beautiful. No 100 buttons for every specific setting. No rounded shapes and grips everywhere for the butterfingered. No "high-tech" material that looks ugly.
But then every time I actually use it it feels cumbersome to me. I feel too conscious of how expensive it is so I am always worried to scratch or dent it. I still can't get used to the rangefinder focus and it takes me way too long to focus. I do mainly architecture photography so precise framing is important to me and the rangefinder framelines are always off. In though lighting situations I miss having an EVF that auto-updates the exposure and shows you what you will get.
I end up using a Fuji which to me are the perfect digital cameras usability vise and with how cheap the older models are used I also enjoy the lack of worry when using them but then I always end up looking at pictures of Leicas and wanting one again.
