>>4412773>A D800 is definitely in your budget and imo its better than a more expensive K1.Unfortunately it is not. I forgot to mention I live in Canada, so this is 500 CAD, which is how much a D610 costs. I also prefer the size of the D610 since it seems to be as compact as the Pentax and it is full-frame, whereas the D800 is a chonky boi.
My concern is that people always say that the FX lenses are crazy expensive, but I don't understand this, since there are a lot of film-era lenses that can be had for inexpensive used, and will still mount, meter and focus just fine. I plan to use picrel, which I got on an inexpensive F65 if I do get this camera.
I owned a K7 a couple years ago very briefly and it left such a good impression that I want to get another Pentax, but I think the more logical choice would be Nikon since there are more lenses and accessories to find.
