>>3245716>>3245717Shooting skateboarding is a challenge. Assuming this is something you plan to shoot more of, a few thoughts for you:
you need to crank that shutter speed (1/1000 or so) to freeze the motion without a flash. the colour shot is motion blurred, and it's gross.
timing is essential, and if the skater doesn't at least look like he's going to land his trick your shot is useless - both of these are guilty. different tricks have different windows of opportunity for timing, it's not something easily grasped unless you really study the good skate photography out there.
lastly, when you're composing you have to give the viewer a more complete view of what's happening. you need to see where he's coming from and where he's going as a general rule, otherwise you can't really contextualize the movement.
you did well to avoid butt-shots which is a common mistake, but there's obviously room for improvement. keep at it
