So today my D80 decided to an hero itself. The shutter/mirror hopelessly jammed itself while stalking some seagulls and their seachickies. It would cost less to get another used D80 than it would to get it fixed.
I've been thinking about switching to Canon lately since from what I can tell it gives you better control over video, which is something I've been wanting to get back into.
So to my actual question: How (un)realistic is it to replicate my current Nikon setup with Canon gear without spending a ton of extra money?
What I currently have is:
Late '80s Nikon 80-200mm 2.8 push/pull, about $300
Sigma 10-20mm 4-5.6, about $320
Nikon 50mm 1.8, about $150
