Lenses described as poor in micro contrast have a very soft bokeh. STF lenses would be the extreme example of such bokeh lenses. On the other hand, the lenses described with good micro contrast, and also the demonstrated photos, have a rather restless, striking bokeh of strong character, a noticeably brighter fringe.
