I also dislike people trying to categorise and title everything. Thats how the competitive insipidness of

If anything it's just candid portraiture. But theres a major style element too, so idk. It's just photography.
He and two friends came up to say hi, and 'love your work', or words to that effect. I do recognise him, but I feel that way about everybody after X years of shooting people like this. Always good to have people come and offer support though. Even if I probably do seem a little weird about at the time. Photographers are inherently sensitive, so shooting the public eventually makes you weird and paranoid. I never really know what to say, and they all seem to make the same remarks or ask the same questions, which feels increasingly repetitive and masturbatory for me now. Not their fault of course. So continuing the conversation beyond 'thanks' probably often gets weird for them picking up on my microexpressions.
