>>3993063Forgot to say, if you use HP5+ a lot and you want lots of speed in the shadows while maintaining contrast in check (especially in high contrast scenes like night cityscapes), the best option is by far diafine. It'll give you a real ISO640-800 shadow speed, and highlights won't blow no matter what. It's a fully compensating developer, and no pronounced edge effects.
(Btw all traditional grain films behave similarly in Diafine).
