The things I typically shoot (heads...moving) mean I have to be *very* quick, so noisy or seeky AF is a bit of a negative.
Mostly I seem to always have issues with the lens rotating ever so slightly on it's mount and causing contact issues, or screwdrive weirdness ... or something that makes the camera think it's in a manual apertupre mode lens ofr a moment... which tends to fuck things up fairly dramatically on the K5 and just makes frames vanish on the K3... so I am pretty happy with the HSM sigma that I use a lot (always) now.
The 300 is VERY sharp though, and easy to use due to it's relatively small aperture.
