I bought the m50 and it comes with EF-M 15-45mm "kit lens".
I don't know much about cameras/lens, but I noticed that the lower the number on the lens, the more wide angle it gets. 15mm is as far as zoomed out I can get.
I also read that m50 is APS-C, so it has a crop factor of 1.5x. Meaning even though the lens can zoom out to 15mm, it's actually about 24mm equivalent on a real full frame camera.
I noticed 15mm on the kit lens is about the same area as what my Pixel 3 can capture. I want a wider angle.
I looked into something called a "speed booster" which apparently (almost) converts APS-C cameras like the m50 into a full frame camera, by multiplying the crop factor by 0.71x.
I was about to buy the speed booster thinking I can attach the speed booster to the m50 base, then attach the 15-45mm lens kit to the speed booster:
[m50 body] - [speed booster] - [15-45mm lens kit]
But I realized the speed booster only works with EF and EF-S lenses (full frame lens). It wouldn't work with the EF-M 15-45mm kit lens, right?
So if I want a wider angle, the cheapest option is to get the speed booster, and then a <24mm EF or EF-S lens, right?
If so, does anyone have suggestions on <24mm EF or EF-S lens that works with the m50 and the speed booster?
