I'm going through and editing some photos I've taken over the past few years as I haven't done post processing before. I found this one and remembered it was a fantastic view but the photo seems terrible. The town seems to be out of focus and have little detail, the colours seem off overall - it was taken during winter though, so the landscape was fairly dry and brown - and the image doesn't seem salvageable. I also noticed photos of alpine shrub foliage taken on the same day seems to be lacking in detail in a similar way.
What have I done wrong, and could my camera body affect this? It's a fairly old model from 2012. I should also mention that I was having trouble with dirt on the camera sensor that attempted to clean before doing these shots, I don't know if that has anything to do with it.
