Went into Best Buy's "Camera Experience Shop" and played with some cameras. Was there for like an hour and surprisingly no sales tards even bothered me. Too early to play with a D850 (already played with D500 a while back) so I went to play with some other cams. Fujis (XT-20, X100F) had no grip as usual, Panny (other than GH4/5) + Fuji line all had tiny and uncomfortable VFs, and nothing interesting from Canon. There was the XC-10 and that was hilariously clunky to use. Also played with the A9 + some lenses and christ was the 24-70 f/2.8 heavy on that body.
Was looking for a good all-in-one cam either ways, and the RX10M4 seemed good. EVF was close to the level of Sony APS-C/FF ones (Nikon P900 EVF was pitiful) and AF was fast. It was pretty large + heavy though, and zooming was slow. Also wished it had 1 more dial for controls, but I guess the aperture ring makes up for it a bit. Might be able to get one less than $1K so not too expensive either for that massive zoom range.
