MAIN QUESTION! Pentax K-S2 DSLR OR SOMETHING ELSE!!!
MAIN POINTS.
1. I'm not a limp wrist MF, I don't care about form factor really
2. I really do like the fully adjustable screen for close to the ground/water shots. (I live in Alaska, nature photography EVERYWHERE)
3. My price range is reasonable (up to 1000$ maybe a little more) but my current camera only cost me 300 and I'm very new to this so thinking practically I'm not about to spend one to two grand on gear for a new load out.
4. I've only used Canon, Nikon, and Olympus. I HATED NIKON but maybe that was just the single camera I used, Canon was very user friendly but imo they have fallen off lately spec wise.
5. Please be kind guys I am open to discussion and reason, I'm new to this but very passionate about photography. I'm looking for any camera that allows good manual control, decent auto settings / fast action shots and interface.
6. I don't care about shooting videos ever.
MORE NOTES
So I am an up and coming photographer, my partner and I are very good at lighting (getting it right indoors and out) and very good at post processing.
The thing is, she is the one who is the hardcore photographer and I'm not an expert at manual control mode yet, but I am learning fast.
The posted picture is one that I took and processed.
I've been looking at mirror less cameras but I'm leaning towards DSLRs. BTW I'm not a limp wristed hipster and I can make do without the fully adjustable screen.
