For normies photography is basically just a rolling reel of daily bullshit they can post in the 'gram. I can't really speak for you since I have no idea what you shoot or what you enjoy, but for me, I enjoy going places, going hiking, attending events; basically the camera incentivises me to get the fuck out of the house. I look forward to my next trip, and honestly can't wait for that moment where I'm printing out the results of a trip.
Camera gear itself is not as important as it once was, and that's fine. Phone cameras are largely for utility. Video can and will not provide stills-level quality and fidelity. Film is your classic sovl path. Full frame is not the end-goal for everybody. Grab the camera you enjoy using the most and go do shit with it. Again, fuck OP.
