>>3780811Definitely agree with many of your criticisms there, thanks for the input!
Regardless, I'm not sure I agree with your dislike of the lack of a main subject. Most of these pics don't have a clear main subject on purpose, in order to convey the loneliness of covid times in a big city. I find it fun specifically to frame a somewhat interesting compositions in seemingly dull landscapes, so not having a clear subject was just my thing when taking these pictures. The atmosphere conveyed is supposed to be the main thing going for these pictures, seems others in the thread have indeed been able to grasp this. Sadly, this atmosphere didn't resonate much with you though, so the lack of anything immediately interesting/eye-catching (ie, a main subject) makes them boring for you.
And yes obviously these pics are rather curated, I didn't just post every snapshot I took. I'm not sure how those 3 pictures look like camera test shots to you, I find them way more interesting than the one you called ”best” because of the atmosphere they convey. The colorful wall dutch angle is interesting to look at but doesn't tell much of a story nor does it make me feel anything (unlike the 3 supposed camera test shots).
Also sadly I can't make you ”feel” those two pics if you just can't by yourself, so I suppose you just have different tastes.
Outside of these issues, I will try to implement your remarks in further photos. I definitely don't consider my photos to be spectacular, but you only liked the photos i found to be among the least interesting I posted lol
>>3780781Definitely going to try having more human subjects in my pictures, thanks! Sadly it's not terribly easy with covid restrictions nowadays.
