I did however edit the raw in fuji's hyperutility software which another anon graciously sent me a DL link to (it is pretty lost in time at this point) which I luckily got running in wine. Why use that over darktable? The S5's raws are pretty unhappy in darktable and can't be edited in full resolution. So in the hyperutility software I turn the sharpness all the way down, lower the contrast a bit, and flatten everything else out before exporting a tiff to edit in darktable.
