Very much new to photography and /p/, and wanted some advice regarding a new purchase. I visited the Philippines recently and my uncle, who's an avid photographer, lent me his Sony Nex-N3 and gave me a few pointers about taking good photos before I went on my way. Long story short, during the trip the 16-50mm lens on the camera broke, and to cut another story short I ended up getting the SEL1855 18mm-55mm lens which I used for the rest of the trip. My uncle didn't mind that I'd broken the original lens, and he actually liked the new one. Since my uncle's a nice guy, when I gave him back his camera he let me keep the lens since I'd bought it. Which leads me to why I'm here. My uncle recommended that I look for used Sony camera bodies for my lens, and he pointed me to the A5000. I was wondering if it would be worth saving up for an A6000 body. I'm not looking for anything too expensive, just something I could basically use for point and shoot. I have lightroom, and I'm trying my hand at it with a few tips from my uncle. Pic related is an example.
