If I'm shooting hand-held with a 50mm I make sure to use something above 1/250 or 1/320. even if it means you have to bump up your ISO to 200 or 400, the benefit of always getting a sharp picture greatly outweigh the downsides. The noise and quality degradation is barely noticeable at that level anyways. Try shooting at 1/200 or 1/250s and check if the sharpness changes. If it doesn't, it's most likely your lens.
>>3491505I shot this one with a 28-80mm Sigma I got used for 15€ and a D3100. But I also edited the picture and adjusted sharpness. Maybe you can post a high-res jpeg you shot with higher shutter speeds and I can try to fix sharpness in post.
