DSLRs have 3 parts whos position in intensely important for proper focusing, and although they can be calibrated extremely close, they can never be quite exact. Those 3 parts are the image sensor, af sensor, and viewfinder. Those are 3 parts that if their position moves by a few thousandths of a mm, they no longer match each other.
The solution is the MILC. You only have image sensor position to worry about, and even then really only its tilt. The viewfinder and focus matches *exactly* what the image sensor sees
Thats not to say I think DSLRs should disappear. Just like I dont think film should disappear. Sony embraced MILC by going full frame with them. They have the exact right idea.
