>>2647691We were talking about white balance and white balance correction.
He* thought purple-pink hues in this sky were completely unrealistic, so I posted the un-corrected file (meaning a file still bathed in green) of this.
Moopco* preferred the uncorrected, green-bathed version. He thought it was more natural. I mentioned that it was objectively not correctly balanced, as it's not balanced at all. He* denied it being green at all, because he* didn't understand how color and light interact in the first place.
And that is when Moopco* decided to inform the IRC that the sun is actually green, outside of the earths atmosphere, and thus green-tinged lighting is more accurate.
Trippy and dumb, I know.
*All of this occured with Moopco under a sockpuppet account named "Blayner"; when a mod noticed he and moopco shared the same IP he claimed to be his own roommate who is a retired banker from Spain that hasn't shot in 10 years.
Ain't mental health fun?
The mention of cyan came up regarding WB shift options.
Another highlight of the conversation was Moop's insistence that purple colors in the sky only occur after a volcano- because he read somewhere that volcanoes make purple skies happen a LOT.
