So, I have a Canoscan 9950f and Minolta Dual Scan IV now. The DS is a dedicated 35mm scanner and it's definitely sharper. Will use the Canoscan for MF or larger.
Tried scanning slides with the DS and Vuescan. But they are very red. I save them as RAW files. Anyone have some tips for color correcting them? I tried curves and color balance but I'm still off...
Also, I selected the highest DPI possible but at the bottom of the window it says the scan is only ~800 DPI, it's something like 791, can't recall. The file is around 4500 pixels wide. Seems right?
This is a sample, don't mind the lame pic. It's old, it's actually from my first roll of film ever.
