I whipped up an example. Let's say the whole frame here is FF, and inside the rectangle is a cropped sensor image. Let's say your printed the full frame image on a 9"x11" piece of paper. It contains the content of the cropped image, so let's say the cropped image content is 5"x4" within the 9"x11" piece of paper. If you printed the cropped sensor image taken from the crop sensor camera at 5"x4", and held it up side by side against a cut out of the equivalent 5"x4" area within the FF image, would the quality theoretically be identical?
