Aside from being too lazy to match the color temperature perfectly on both shots I've never had any problems with the image quality especially since you really cannot even describe what 'fucked image quality means
as for the borders I generally only use them when making a collage/diptych like this because it just looks really weird having two images side by side combined. I've posted all these shots in threads here previously without having any borders
