Smaller formats photography is usually based on trends and meme aesthetics. Not rarely very heavily processed. All in all, it's clearly more fast-output oriented, like one easy way to get to visual arts media and discussions etc.
Medium and large format on the other hand is is rather craftier or more poetic (in the sense of poesis, nor "artistically frivolous"). Though not always, not necessarily, and especially not usually on LFPF.
