>>3411143It's one of the reasons I love being on the edge of the Great Plains so much. While I can travel an hour one way to get into the mountains, I can go an hour the other way to travel back in time. The tiny rural towns and settlements are still bleeding off what little population they have and moving into the larger cities, many old homesteads look like this and eventually get torn down and many others have been built and rebuilt and are still lived in. We have an oil and gas boom here which is bringing a lot of new infrastructure, but further into the plains (Western Kansas and Nebraska) you'll find a lot of this stuff. And like you said, graffiti is rare on any of it. No trespassing signs are more likely but not everywhere, such as this one.
