If it is just cosmetic damage then don't worry about it. Someone splattered acetone on my D3400 and it went into the upper portion of the D-pad and 100% welded the live view button to the case. I had to free it up and put an adhesive button in its place. I'll keep using it until the shutter shits itself.

You can get a used full frame Nikon D600 for as much or less than the Canon 80D. It is almost exactly the same megapixels as your D3200, but the pixels on the sensor are larger(5.95 µm vs 3.85 µm respectively) so you'll have less shot noise in your photos and better diffraction limit so you can go with tighter apertures.
