It's literally a conspiracy between the big camera manufacturers that have so far successfully blocked such things, but it is only a matter of time before cheap mirrorless camera kits can be found for $100 or less at Wal-mart. It's literally just a matter of taking the tech they already have from cheap point and shoot cameras and allowing them to have interchangeable lenses.
Something like the the Yi M1, but even cheaper.
