>>3185880I'm finding that I can't use the tripod with mine and can only get good focus shots using handheld and simply leaning in and out of the DOF until I get it right. If I had some sort of rail on a tripod then it could work. A monopod would be more my style I think. But, if the sun is shining on me, it is almost impossible to even see correctly in the viewfinder and the LCD is completely worthless. I just deleted 200 photos because they looked like they were in focus in the viewfinder, but when viewed on the PC they are wildly out of focus. I know they weren't motion blur for the most part since stuff in the background or foreground were in focus.
Regardless, I'm having a really difficult time with the DOF with anything under 300 feet. The main problem with that is I live in a wooded hilly area where long clear distances just don't happen. I guess I'll need to go on some trips.
