>GW690I'm absolutely in love with it honestly. Before I bought it I had read over and over how good the lens was but it has to be seen to be believed, it's incredible. I can't speak for the first two versions, but as far as I know it's exactly the same optics. Perhaps without the EBC coating but that's a minor difference.
It's much lighter than any other camera with a comparable negative size. I've used 6x6 and 6x7 cameras, the ease of use and carry makes a difference. Also of course having an eye level viewfinder is nice.
Focusing is very easy, the rf path isn't extremely bright but it is extremely contrasty. Also this could just be my cam but the vertical alignment seems to get slightly off if you tilt the camera too much up or down. Have never missed focus once though.
The negs are massive and beautiful, shot some slides with it and nearly shit myself looking at them under a loupe on a light table
Some negatives - the hood has to be extended to access the exposure controls, which is a minor nuisance. Can't use circ. polarizers of course. The third version has a plastic outer body but it's nice plastic.
I highly reccomend it especially if you want to do landscapes. 6x6 isn't an ideal format for that.
