If you notice the pink (magenta) tint then it's probably the 1B type, the stronger of the two (but still very subtle, while the 1A is almost clear).
Those are usually nice in reducing green tint in the shadows of negative films, like Portra for instance. Or use it as protective filter with a little bit of positive impact, rather than using a UV (which image wise is useless).
Slides get very blue in the shadows usually, due to their high contrast and the fact that shadows are actually.
Regardless, give it a try and see how you like it.
