2. only decent one that comes near is the PD tripod (14", or 36 cm in non-meme measurements), which costs abour 100-200 more. there's a couple of lingling knockoffs if you want to test your luck though.
3. that's a matter of the ball head, not the tripod itself. the PD one comes with a (rather flimsy) ball head.
