obviously there are contrast and colour shifts when pushing two stops. my point was how rad Provia 400X is and how it's not even comparable to kodachrome in some regards. there's no kodachrome period that could've been shot in these conditions handheld in surf on a medium format f4 lens. not even close.
i shot a fair bit of kodachrome. if it came back tomorrow unchanged from what it was, i'd still pick various E6 films over it.
