what's wrong with it? the meter circuit on the SRT is quite simple, with just a few components. I had one of my SRTs get a cell transplant form a dead one and the meter revived. the galvanometer can be transplanted as well.
if the pointy needle seems stuck, it might be the finder foam breaking apart and gumming it up. a prism area cleaning fixes that.
